Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2026

Sheetful is free to use and these terms are short. Using the site means you accept them.

What you generate is yours

Any sheet you produce here — PDF, PNG or SVG — is yours to use for anything, with no restrictions from us. Print it, share it, put it in a book, hand it out to a class, include it in a product, sell it. No attribution required, no personal-use-only limitation, no separate commercial license to buy.

This is worth stating explicitly because a lot of printable-paper sites do restrict it, and the restriction is usually buried. There isn't one here. Ruled paper is geometry, and nobody should be claiming ownership of a 5mm grid.

The site itself

The site's design, code, written content and images are the property of the site's operator. You're welcome to link to any page. You may not copy the site wholesale, republish its written content as your own, or scrape it to rebuild the tool elsewhere.

Automated bulk requests are the one thing that can actually cause a problem here, since generation is free and hosting isn't. Ordinary use, including generating as many sheets as you like by hand, is fine and always will be.

No warranty, particularly about printing

The site is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. It's a free tool made by one person, and while considerable effort goes into geometric accuracy, no guarantee is offered that it's correct for your purpose.

Print accuracy is the specific case worth reading twice. The PDF this site produces contains vector geometry at real millimeter coordinates, and that part is under our control. What happens next isn't: your print dialog's scaling setting, your printer's driver, its unprintable margins, and the paper you feed it all affect the finished sheet, and "Fit to page" or "Shrink oversized pages" will silently scale the output by several percent. If dimensional accuracy matters for what you're doing, turn on the check ruler, print one page, and measure it before you rely on it or print thirty more.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site's operator isn't liable for any loss arising from use of the site or of anything generated with it — including wasted paper, ink, materials, or a project that didn't fit.

Accuracy of the written content

The explanatory content on these pages — ruling conventions, gauge ratios, notation practice, charting conventions in various crafts — is written to be accurate and is not professional advice. Conventions vary by country, field, manufacturer and decade. Where a measurement matters, measure the thing you're trying to match rather than relying on a figure quoted here.

Advertising

This site displays ads through Google AdSense. Ads are labelled and are not endorsements — we don't select individual advertisers or verify what they sell. How advertising cookies work is covered on the privacy page.

Availability

No uptime is promised. The site may change, move or stop existing. Because everything runs in your browser and nothing is stored server-side, anything you've already downloaded is unaffected by any of that — which is a deliberate property of the design, not a coincidence.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. Material changes come with a new "last updated" date at the top of this page.
